….and so is our Thanksgiving To Go Menu!!
We’ve been cooking these awesome menu at our kitchen in the past few months. From delicious Turkey to creamy Corn Casserole, everything fresh from local businesses and made with love. So, yes! We will take care of your food situation, but what about the actual family gathering? How do we make our Thanksgiving dinner more enjoyable and more fun? So here’s some tips from our team on how to make your Thanksgiving dinner make you and your family have closer relationship!
5 Ways to Make Your Thanksgiving Dinner a Fun-“er” Family Gathering:
1. Greet everybody with a warm hug!
Who does not love hug? One article from US News found that hugs is good to release osxytocin to your body, which means that both person (or even 10 for group hugs!) will feel happier and more relaxed for the dinner. If we have more relaxed and happier people to start the dinner, then you will have an awesome gathering time!
2. Have some games ready.
Games are one of the best way to break the ice. Some of our favorite games are Exploding Kittens (might not be appropriate for kids), Monopoly Deal, and Uno Dare! Try also to look for games that requires team effort to bring your family members closer to each other.
3. Avoid topics about politics.
Sometimes it is tempting to talk about politics since the election is today and it will still be a hot topic during Thanksgiving weekend, but talking about politics often bring some kind of awkwardness to both family members that do not have same political views.
4. Think about some achievements that your family has achieved this year.
So, what are you grateful for this year? What is your achievements? Talking about your happiest moments throughout the year will lift up the atmosphere. Remember, happy and grateful atmosphere create happy memories!
5. End your dinner with some encouraging words!
Try to gather the whole family before everybody is leaving (maybe right when everybody is finished with dinner) and tell them how much you love them and your wish for the new year. Ending it with a cheers is always a good idea. The last memory at the dining table will last the most!
I hope these tips help you and your family to achieve those memorable Thanksgiving dinner! Let us know how it goes 🙂
